Hypnotherapy for children

Effective treatment for children and teenagers such as fear of needles, bedwetting and lack of confidence in Poole, Bournemouth, Wimborne and Dorset using hypnotherapy and hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy for children and teenagers.

At Wessex Hypnotherapy located close to Bournemouth and Poole Robert Clarke has found that children and teenagers respond very well to hypnosis and hypnotherapy.
They normally enjoy the session and think of it as a liberating experience.

Quite often only one session of therapy will be needed which can give incredible results.

Parents have often tried many other forms of treatment but find that hypnotherapy is a fast and effective way to deal with and resolve many problems and issues. As Rob works with children he is fully CRB checked.
The "Blowaway" Technique

This is a single relaxing session of hypnotherapy that has been designed specifically for use with children. It allows them to release their anxiety, worries or phobias so that the child/teenager can go forward with their own development without being hampered from their past negative feelings, worries or problems.

This simple but fun technique encourages the child to take a deep breath and blow away any of the negative feelings or bottled up emotions they may have. This allows the child to progress much easier with their own personal development.

To finish the session positive suggestions are given not only for relaxation and calmness but also in order that the child will experience more control and direction in the decisions they make:

The blow away technique is an effective tool when used to help problems such as:

* Bedwetting (Enuresis)
* Low confidence issues
* Thumb sucking
* Nightmares/irregular sleeping patterns
* School issues
* Phobias, fears and anxiety
* Lack of concentration
* Feelings of being sad, unhappy, upset, stressed or embarrassed.
* Food issues such as anorexia or bulimia

When seeing a child under the age of 16 years I always insist on a parent or guardian being present during the session.
